Meet the NEW Enphase IQ Battery 5P
All-in-one battery backup power. Now with Load Control and PCS integration
The Enphase IQ Battery 5P, which is a 5 kWh, is AC coupled and can be installed for storing excess solar for when the sun goes down. To use the battery for backup power an Enphase IQ System Controller is installed with the battery. During outages, the IQ System Controller isolates the solar system from the grid and connects the storage.

The Enphase IQ Battery 5™ all-in-one AC-coupled storage system is reliable, smart, simple, and safe
It has a total usable energy capacity of 4.96 kWh and includes six embedded grid-forming microinverters with 3.98kVA power rating. It provides backup capability and installers can quickly design the right system size to meet the needs of both new and retrofit solar customers.

Enphase IQ8 – BAT Microinverter
Each battery includes multiple bi-directional IQ™ 8 microinverters to switch energy from DC to AC and back again for safe, reliable operation
So, even if one stops, the battery will continue to operate and keep the lights on.

Enphase IQ System Controller
The IQ System Controller senses when the grid goes down and seamlessly transitions the home from grid power to backup power
The IQ System Controller disconnects the grid and powers the backup loads using the IQ Battery system, PV system and the switchboard that houses the circuits that will be powered during a grid outage.
The IQ System Controller has the Smart Switch, the Enphase IQ Gateway, Circuit protection, Power Control and anti-islanding protection as required by Australian and New Zealand standards.
The IQ System Controller communicates with the IQ Batteries wirelessly on the same communications platform as microinverters.
