How does the Fix Z Pro module support front and rear work?
The FixZ Pro module support works an interface to clamp panels to the railing system. Here's a simplified step by step of its installation:
- Position the FixZ rails on the multi-adapter, ensuring the square channel is at the bottom of the rail.
- Make sure the higher side of the rail faces downward along the slope of the roof for both top and bottom rails.
- Secure the FixZ rail to the fasteners by tightening the M8 bolt with the recommended torque (15 Nm).
- Attach elevation elements to the rear FixZ Pro rails to adjust panel tilt orientation (50, 100, and 150 degrees).
- Once the desired tilt angle is achieved using elevation elements, add Module Support Pro to the front and rear legs.
- Lock the Module Support Pro in place using the same mechanism as the elevation elements.
About Schletter Fix Z Pro system
The Schletter Fix Z Pro system consists of fastening frames securing Proline rails which support PV modules. The pre-assembled components, slide-in rail joiners without the use of screws and click-in module clamps, account for ease of installation and industry leading installation times.
- Suitable for pitched roofs, flat roofs, and barrel roofs
- Ideal for metal roofs: trapezoidal, corrugated, Kliplok
- Slight increase at the upper module support in 90 mm increments
The components are made from Aluminium and High-Grade Steel allowing durability in adverse site conditions. The system comes with a 25-year warranty that is compliant with Australian Standards:
- AS/NZS 1170.2:2021 for wind actions
- AS/NZS 1170.1:2002 (R2016) for imposed loadings, and
- AS/NZS 1170.0:2002 for general principles.
THE AFFORDABLE ADDITIONAL GIRDER
For metal roofs with a slope of less than 10°, installing modules parallel to the roof may not be ideal for maximum yield and optimal self-cleaning. Conventional support by struts is also often impossible or uneconomical because of the higher loads.
In such cases, flat elevation angles – such as can be achieved with FixZ Pro – offer a universal, extremely flexible and cost-effective solution with ideal load transfer into the roof covering.
