Expanded Power Options for Single-Phase SigenStor Installations

Sigenergy has recently expanded its gateway portfolio to cater to a wider range of installation requirements. This article provides an overview of the new Sigen Energy Gateway HomePro SP-F gateway and explains how it fits within the current range of gateway options available in Australia.

Sigen gateways are a key component of SigenStor energy storage systems and are essential when the system is required to provide backup power during a grid outage.

Introducing the HomePro SP-F Gateway

The new HomePro SP-F gateway is a single-phase device that provides similar functionality to the existing HomePro SP gateway, but with a significantly higher AC power rating. The HomePro SP-F gateway has a 100A (22kW) grid connection rating and can deliver this full level of power to the backup port, supporting up to 22kW of backup load during a grid outage.

The smart port / generator connection is also rated at 22kW, making the SP-F a strong fit for larger single-phase installations where higher backup capacity is required without moving to a three-phase system.

The HomePro SP-F gateway is designed to connect to up to 22kW of inverter capacity. There are three inverter input circuit breakers provided (two 63A breakers and one 40A) however Australian Standards limit the number of inverters able to be connected directly to the gateway to two.

Notes:

1.       0 ms backup switch disruption time achievable when used with Sigen Energy Controller and Sigen Battery.

2.       8 -12 kW inverters should be connected to the INV1 port, 5 - 6 kW inverters should be connected to the INV2 port. The sum of the parallel power of the Sigenergy inverters cannot exceed 12 kW

3.       INV1 and INV2 ports support 17 - 30 kW inverter, the INV3 port supports 5 -15 kW inverter. The sum of the Sigenergy inverters ratings cannot exceed 60 kW. AS4777 does not allow the direct connection of more than two inverters to a gateway that supplies backup loads.

4.       15 - 30 kW inverters should be connected to the INV1 port, 5 -15 kW inverters should be connected to the INV2 port. The sum of the Sigenergy inverters ratings cannot exceed 30 kW.

5.       8.0-12.0 kW inverters should be connected to the INV1 / INV2 port, 3.0-6.0 kW inverters should be connected to the INV3 port. The sum of the Sigenergy inverters ratings cannot exceed 22 kW. AS4777 does not allow the direct connection of more than two inverters to a gateway that supplies backup loads.
